What we have to offer

The Geology Trust now offers an extensive range of trail guides in the Secrets in the Landscape series and one Earth Heritage booklet 'When the Devil came to Rosedale', as shown on the map above.

24 are trail guides of different lengths and with one thing in common, they are all an interesting walk and the guide provides you with information on the landscape, geology, history, industrial archaeology, whatever the secrets in the landscape are. One of the guides is a drive with a number of small walks at different points – the Cleveland Dyke Drive and one is a Fossil guide to the fossils of Robin Hood's Bay.

The Earth Heritage booklet describes the earliest history of the Rosedale area, brings to life the reason behind the myth of the devil living in the hills above Rosedale Abbey and offers wonderful interpretation posters of what can be seen in the landscape, bringing together geology, industrial archaeology and social history.

You can buy our trails from bookshops, libraries in our area, at our events and at our offices in Robin Hood's Bay. Still working on Amazon distribution!

Private commissions

You can also commission your Geology Trust for a guided walk, a dinoday or a fossil walk for a birthday party or a community group at very competitive prices. We are very popular with school groups in particular and try to provide as much fun and pleasure to our events as we can.
